The concept for Sew Cute personalized baby wear has roots in many generations of my female ancestors who hand-embroidered linens and the like. This tradition had been passed down through the matriarchs of my family, to my mother who, many years ago, working as a seamstress, made baby pajamas and embroidered them with cute little images. She combined her love of embroidery with her sewing skills to make embroidered baby pajamas for me, my siblings, and cousins. Our family’s tradition of embroidery is now bestowed upon me.

Today, we integrate this family tradition with present day’s technology of computers and digital embroidery machines to achieve professional, consistent and durable stitching, thereby creating a synergy of old and new for the creation of Sew Cute’s adorable baby apparel. In May 2004, my son Joshua was born, and I began embroidering my baby boy’s name and initials on his clothing. I wanted to celebrate having a son…after receiving many compliments from passersby, and making gifts that delighted family and friends, Sew Cute was born.

At Sew Cute, we use only sweatshop-free clothing and accessories made from premium, 100% combed cotton that is wonderfully soft and extremely comfortable on baby’s delicate skin. Moms also appreciate how easy and practical it is to care for our clothing, as it is all machine-washable. Special attention is paid to the details, and pride is taken whereby every article of clothing is specially embroidered for each infant or toddler with his/her name or initial.
